Alaska-Argentina Project

This is a project we made with Art and Writing that involved drawing a place you like and writing a letter for kids from Alaska. We wrote about us, about our contry, we wrote questions too, for them and we sent them some photos. After all we visited the post office and we sent all the letters, drawings and photos in a huge embelow.

Today we recived the letters, from them, some presents and a photo. I read the letter of Logan and De'Shawn. None of them ask me something. You may assume that in the deep of winter you can't reach some cities but that it's wrong, that's what I learn.

The Shooter

This is a story that I wrote about in my class of Writing:

It was Friday night when I recived the call. "Please Stop! Let me go!" Shooting sound "What?!" It was a different voice "A phone!" I knew that he was the killer. He hung the phone. I get very scared. i went to the police station. The policemen told me thet was just a joke.
 "But it was real!" I shouted "The shooting was real!" a long silence ruled... "Come on Jacob!" It was Will, my friend (he is a policeman) "We know the death of Elizabeth is sad, but you don't have to say this!" I hate when he talks about Elizabeth. She was my wife, after two days of our wedding someone shooted her in the street, she died. I didn't talk to anyone for three hole months. I felt incomplete, I needed her. I ran out from the police station and, when I got home, I called my ex-girlfriend Summer. "Hi, Summer?" "Yes, Jacob may be?"
 "Yes, Summer! I need to talk to you!" I said nervouslly
 "What happened? Are yo ok?" I felt like if someone was looking at me threw the window... "JACOB!" "Yes, yes sorry, I need your help. Come!" When I told this, the winow opened, like magically. "Let's meet at 3pm tomorrow at Beecher Street.""Ok. See you." The window was magically closed...
That night I couldn't sleep. Once, in the middle of the silence the phone started ringing.
"Hi?" I asked, worried "Yes, hi, Jacob right?" "Yes but...Who are you?" "I am Noah, the policeman that was today in the policestation with a smoothie." "Yes! I remember you! What happened? I'm in trouble?" "No no no no, I believe in your story, about the call and everything, we need to talk about it!" "Now?" "No it's not safe! Anyone could listen the call..." "Ok so..." I thought that I could meet him since I am with Summer "Ok. Tomorrow we will meet at Beecher Street at 3pm. Look I told my ex-girlfriend about it and she will be with us too, it's that ok?" "Sure, why not" "Bye!" "Bye" When we finished the call it was 4 a.m. so I went to bed again and now, I could sleep.
When I got to Beecher Street, at 3:12, neither Summer nor Noah were there. I thought they were late so I waited one hour, but none of them appeared....
At 4:12 pm I went back home. I turned on the T.V. and there was a new piece of news: "A policeman called Noah Morgan and a waiter called Summer Flynn were shooted in Beecher Street...."
I was petrified! When I realized that the door of my house was, I heard a shooting sound and I fell to the floor, with nothing to do just die...

Fossil Fuels

We watch two videos about fossil fuels, here an exlpanation about three screenshots, that I made with Victoria Lopez A.

This are all the fossil fuels, in this part of the video they explained how they were made. The coal is form by dead plants plus heat plus pressure. The oil, is form by dead animals plus dead plants plus heat plus pressure. And, finally, the natural gas is made by dead plants and dead animals plus more heat plus more pressure. The fossil fuels produce energy, but in the case of oil we can produce more things as plastics, cosmetics and                                                                        sometime, medicine.

These are some conditions that the environment must have for the formation of the fossil fuels.

 The first one is a saturated environment that has to do with an environment with water, as swamps. 

  The second is an anaerobic environment that means without oxygen, as swamps.

The third one is high pressure, that is a strenght that                                                              pulls as down.

                                                      The last one is that the environment must have high                                                            temperature.

This picture shows the cycle of the formation of coal.

1) Lots of million of years ago, the place started flooting.

2) Trees died.

3)They fell down.

4)Level of water decrease and coal is made. 

5)New trees grow and the cycle starts again.

La Palabras del Cuidado

HAquí una nube de palabras que describen el cuidado del ecosistema, tarea que es complicada de hacer, ya que con el simple hecho de tirar un papel al piso ya lo estas dañando. Habría que pensar más en como cuidarlo y como dejarlo en buen estado para las otras generaciones que nos siguen.
